Investment Committee

The Investment Committee of the Astrakhan Region has been established in accordance with the list of instructions of the President of the Russian Federation following the results of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum of 26 June 2021, No. Pr-1096, and Order No. 591 of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation of 30 September 2021 «On the system of support for new investment projects in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation («Regional Investment Standard»)».

The Committee reviews investment projects submitted by investors and coordinates decisions on the provision of regional support.

Investor Hour

«Investor Hour» is a key format of interaction between business and regional authorities in the Astrakhan Region, organised by the Development Corporation of the Astrakhan Region.

The main objective of the format is to resolve investor problems promptly and to speed up the implementation of investment projects.

The essence of the practice

These are regular dialogue meetings held since late 2024. Their uniqueness lies in the fact that entrepreneurs, representatives of regional ministries, resource-supplying organisations, representatives of business associations and experts gather on the same platform.

Specific business situations are examined in detail at these meetings. For example, issues of connection to utility networks or obtaining a land plot, as well as attracting government support measures, are resolved promptly.

The practice proved so effective that it was extended to the municipal level.

«Investor Hour» is a know-how of the Astrakhan Region that allows most problems and disputed questions arising in the implementation of investment projects in the region to be resolved several times faster, without referring the matter to the Investment Committee of the Astrakhan Region.
