Regional Investment Standard

The Regional Investment Standard is a system for supporting new investment projects, developed by the Government of the Russian Federation together with business associations. Its main objective is to shorten the investor's path from an idea to the implementation of a project, to make the conditions for doing business transparent and predictable, and to remove typical administrative barriers. The Astrakhan Region is implementing best practices to create the most comfortable investment environment.

Elements of the Regional Investment Standard implemented in the Astrakhan Region:

• The investment declaration defines how the economic authorities work with investors and provides business with guarantees.
• The Development Corporation of the Astrakhan Region acts as a one-stop shop for working with investors.
• The Investment Committee ensures interaction between regional authorities, local government and investors.
• The investment map displays investment sites with detailed information on resources and available connections.
• A set of investment rules — algorithms for investor actions setting out the number of steps, the documents required and the deadlines for connecting to infrastructure facilities.
• Investment offers — a catalogue of prepared investment projects ready to be implemented in the region.
• Direct communication lines — a feedback mechanism for investors.
