The Iranian business is interested in expanding cooperation with our region.

The Astrakhan Region Development Corporation held a working meeting with the delegation of the Iranian company Jahan Noor Lighting Industries. The visit was accompanied by the First Consul of the Consulate General of Iran in Astrakhan, Seyed Mohammad Abedi, which underlines the high level of interest of the parties.

Jahan Noor Lighting Industries, one of the three leading Iranian manufacturers of lighting equipment, specializes in the production of devices for indoor and outdoor lighting. As CEO Ali Reza Ahmadizadeh noted, the company has already successfully exported products to Iraq, Oman and Turkmenistan and considers Russia as a promising area for growth.

In turn, the head of the Development Corporation, Irina Melnikova, presented the systemic advantages of the region to her Iranian colleagues. The corporation operates on the "one-stop shop" principle, providing investors with a complete package of data on support measures, helping them find financing and resolve administrative issues, which significantly reduces time and financial costs when starting production.

Of particular interest for the localization of production are:

Geography: proximity to the large markets of Kazakhstan, Central Asia and the countries of the Caspian region.
"The Lotus SEZ regime": tax benefits.
Logistics: the R-22 Caspian highway, the North-South railway, the port area and the airport.

"We are looking for reliable partners to enter new markets and are committed to long-term mutually beneficial cooperation," emphasized Mr. Ahmadizadeh.
