Astrakhan bakery chain expanded production thanks to state support from the Corporation The Astrakhan Region Development Corporation, which is supervised by the regional Ministry of Economic Development, summed up the results of its work for the first half of 2026. During this period, 100 applications for loans totaling more than 285 million rubles were approved. This allowed the business to attract over 1 billion rubles of investments for development.

The funds are aimed at the acquisition and modernization of fixed assets, the introduction of new technologies, the development of exports and import substitution. State business support measures are being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Small and medium-sized Enterprises" national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and with the support of the People's Program of the United Russia Party. Among those who took advantage of government support are the management of the bakery chain, the Kalachi Brothers.

The company needed to take out a loan, the guarantor was a regional guarantee organization. Thanks to this, the loan became secured, and the deal was approved quickly. The funds were used to repair the premises and purchase equipment. The Kalachi Brothers bakery chain opened in Astrakhan in 2019. Today it is a family business, where not only both spouses Alexander and Irina Fedorenko are employed, but also their four children.

The bakery and 13 branches of the chain now employ about 180 people. At the moment, the product range includes about 300 items, and 70% of the raw materials are purchased from local suppliers for their manufacture.

«We are glad that we took advantage of government support. This is a great help for entrepreneurs. In this case, the interest on the loan is small for us, and the conditions are very comfortable. In the future, we will expand the network and modernize production. And in this case, one cannot do without state support," emphasized Irina Fedorenko, co-owner of the business, wife of the founder of the Kalachi Brothers chain.
